Jacksonville, Fla. – The 31st Annual Camp I Am Special fashion show and luncheon will be held, Saturday, March 2, at 11 a.m., in the Parish Center at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 1773 Blanding Blvd. The fashion show is hosted by the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women as a fundraiser for the summer camps.

Models for this year’s fashion show include 21 campers from the summer residential camps for disabled persons held at Camp St. John in St. Johns County.

The camp is a ministry of the Disabilities Ministry of Catholic Charities. The camps are specifically geared for children, teens, and young adults challenged by physical and mental disabilities. Each summer, therapeutic activities are adaptively designed to match the pace and ability of the campers. Area high school students often work at the summer camps and serve as buddies to the campers.

Fashions will be provided by Dress Barn and Belk at Roosevelt Square. Escorting each model will be a buddy, group leader or supporter of Camp I Am Special.

Lunch is being provided by the Italian American Club of Jacksonville. A $10 donation is requested.
