Jacksonville, Fla. – Expanding on its tradition of providing young learners with an excellent start to their educational career, San Jose Catholic School is adding a 2-year-old Pre-K class to its Early Learning Program.

Families may choose from a two, three or five-day program, designed to enrich early learning by encouraging growth in cognitive, physical, social and spiritual development.

The new program will be headed by Gail Baker, a longtime early learning teacher who spent 19 years as a PK4 teacher at South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church Preschool, before most recently serving as the founding director of Child’s Play Preschool at Lakewood Presbyterian Church.

Long documented for the overall benefits, children enrolled in Pre-K classes not only have a smoother transition into Kindergarten, but a more enhanced desire to learn.
