February 15, 2017 • Diocese of St. Augustine

Jacksonville, Fla. – The Jacksonville Regional Office of Catholic Charities will host their 25th Annual Black and White Ball on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m., at the Jessie Ball duPont Center, 40 East Adams Street in Jacksonville. Proceeds of the Ball will assist the agency of the Diocese of St. Augustine in providing outreach to the community with emergency assistance.

In celebration of the Black and White Ball’s 25th anniversary, a special evening awaits guests beginning with a cocktail reception and silent auction, a seated dinner, and dancing to the music of KTG.

“Over the event’s history, we have raised more than $2.9 million for the Emergency Assistance program – a program that helps families in our area who are on the brink of homelessness stay safe and secure in their homes,” said Lauren Weedon Hopkins, regional director of the agency.

Catholic Charities is the largest provider of emergency financial assistance in our community. Through its emergency assistance program, the agency helps families who are facing eviction or loss of utilities due to a recent financial crisis. Short-term assistance with rent, mortgage, utilities and food is provided. Tickets are $150 per adult (21 years of age or older). Please call Kelly Kunkel at (904) 899-5505 to purchase tickets and for more details about the Black and White Ball. Or tickets can be purchased online at www.ccbjaxevents.org.
