Jacksonville, Fla. – Catholic Charities Jacksonville Regional Office of the Diocese of St. Augustine will host its annual Black & White Ball on Saturday, March 3, from 6 to 10 p.m., at the US Assure Club West, at EverBank Field. The event serves as one of the primary fundraisers for Catholic Charities with proceeds benefitting those in the community in need of emergency assistance.
The event will feature gourmet food, dancing, and fun for guests. The Faze Band will provide live entertainment for guests to enjoy throughout the evening.
Kendra Scott – Jewelry for Every Occasion – will offer guests a chance to participate in a jewelry pull. A full list of participating sponsors is available on the Catholic Charities website, www.ccbjaxevents.org.
Emergency Assistance is one of Catholic Charities in Jacksonville’s five programs. Catholic Charities is the largest provider of emergency financial assistance in Northeast Florida. The goal of the program is to prevent homelessness by helping families who are facing eviction or the loss of utilities due to a recent financial crisis. Short-term assistance like rent, mortgage payments, utilities, and food is provided. All proceeds raised by the Black & White Ball will support those efforts.
Last year, the Emergency Assistance program served 13,617 individuals and distributed 105,872 pounds of food to those in need in the community.
