Jacksonville, Fla. – Deacon Scott Conway, superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of St. Augustine, has announced today that all Catholic Schools in the 17-county region of the diocese will close for after school care Thursday, Oct. 6 and all day Friday, Oct. 7, due to the threat of Hurricane Matthew.

Parents and Guardians are being contacted by school officials today.

The diocese will follow county closings. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School in Palm Coast will close Thursday, Oct. 6 since Flagler County has decided to close schools and offices. Schools have been instructed to notify the diocese if their site needs to remain closed on Monday due to damages.
