Diocese Hosts 2020 Holy Spirit Healing Conference
January 6, 2019 • Diocese of St. Augustine

Gainesville, Fla. – All are welcome to celebrate the healing, love and refreshment of the Holy Spirit at the 2020 Holy Spirit Conference, Jan. 24-25, at Holy Faith Catholic Church in Gainesville. The theme for the conference is “…I will fill this house with glory” (Haggai 2:7B). The conference will begin Friday evening at 5:30 p.m. Saturday’s events begin at 8:45 a.m. and will conclude around 9:45 p.m.

The Holy Spirit Healing Conference celebrates the Charismatic Renewal of the Catholic Church. This renewal is not a movement of people, but rather a divine move of the Holy Spirit. Charismatic Renewal is about awakening these gifts and utilizing them to their fullest potential.

The keynote speaker is Peter Herbeck, vice president and director of missions for Renewal Ministries. For more than 30 years, he has been actively involved in evangelization and Catholic renewal throughout the U.S., Canada, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Peter is a co-host for the weekly television programs The Choices We Face and Crossing the Goal. He also hosts the daily radio show Fire on the Earth. He is a frequent conference speaker, has authored When the Spirit Comes in Power and When the Spirit Speaks, and has produced CDs and booklets about discipleship and life in the Spirit.

“These conferences are a place for people to hear the gospel preached – I mean really preached with power – not just with emotion, but with clarity,” said Herbeck. “The power of Jesus’ words will penetrate your heart and bring you to the place where you can see your need for repentance and conversion. And then you can see Jesus as the antidote.”

Other speakers include Carmelite Father Clyde Saliterero, Tom Edwards, Jean Roach, and Dr. Mary Shaw.

The conference will include various talks on renewal, praise and worship, procession and exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Mass and a healing prayer service.

Early registration is $40 and $45 at the door. Priests, seminarians, religious brothers and sisters and youth under 18 may attend for free. No one will be turned away due to cost, so those who feel they cannot afford to attend can call Mary Shaw at (352) 244-9899. To register, visit www.staugustinehouseofprayer.org.
