Jacksonville, Fla. – Registration is open for Morning Star School’s 12th Annual “Shoot for the Stars” Golf Tournament on Feb. 24 at San Jose Country Club, 7529 San Jose Blvd.
The event begins at 10 a.m., followed by lunch at 11 a.m. and a noon shotgun start. Entry costs are $150 and includes lunch, complimentary cocktails, games, prizes and an award ceremony dinner. Incredible prizes will be offered, such as $30,000 towards a new car, a Rolex watch, foursomes to multiple country clubs and more.
Not only will you enjoy a round of golf with friends and family, you’ll also be raising money for special education. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit Morning Star’s Annual Fund, which ensures that special education is affordable and available to every child who needs it. Funds raised help to “bridge the gap” between the actual cost to educate a child with learning differences and the average tuition.
“Our golf tournament is one of our largest fundraisers. Monies raised helps supplement the budget, provide enhancements to our classrooms and purchase up-to-date educational tools for our students,” said Jean Barnes, principal of Morning Star.
